Understanding the intersection of prostate cancer and the COVID-19 virus is an evolving topic.

The Prostate Cancer Foundation sponsored a fantastic 12 min. video interview with Alicia Morgans, MD, MPh and Tanya Dorff, MD (from the City of Hope). The video, “What Prostate Cancer Patients Need to Know About Treatment During The COVID-19 Pandemic” is a must listen to for anyone with prostate cancer and their caregivers.

In the video they discuss the current status of clinical trials and then move into the important topic of what their practices have decided to do in reference to treatments of men with prostate cancer in the COVID era.

Their conversation includes issues around length of treatment, types of treatment including chemotherapy as well as immunotherapy like Provenge.
