Starting the week of April 4, 2022, if you have Medicare, Part B medical insurance, you can obtain up to eight (8) over-the-counter COVID-19 home tests per month for free. If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, your plan will not cover these free tests. However, you will still be able to get the free tests by using your regular, red, white, and blue Medicare card.
The free tests will be available at participating pharmacies and other healthcare providers. This benefit will continue until the public health emergency continues.
Reach out to your pharmacy to confirm they are participating in the program and have stock available. You do not need to go to your regular pharmacy to obtain your free tests.
